Pol Úbeda Hervàs developed a series of photographs in which he is standing, looking at his own shadow.
Hervàs removed himself from the photographs. The reason behind the move is what inspired him to take the photographs. Hervàs said, “I just don’t recognize myself anymore.”
However, Hervàs leaves the shoes in the photographs to remind viewers there’s still a man in there somewhere.
The United Way for Southeastern Michigan (which serves Detroit and the surrounding areas) relocated its headquarters to the 1st National Building in downtown Detroit around 2009.
